Ron Swallow, in an ironic turn of events, was born in Fort Dix. Faced with the prospect of a talent show when he was 16, Ron felt he had no talent. But someone pointed out to him that he was funny and maybe he should try standup. Ron wrote some jokes about fluffy toilet seat covers and GI Joe, and the rest is history.
With Ron, you know you will be getting witty, biting, and hysterical portrayals of the life he has lived. Having lived a strange life with a strange name has allowed him to observe his surroundings in a unique and fun way. Ron’s act takes audiences on a journey through his white-trash childhood. Just to make you smile, he will re-live every mockery the name Ron Swallow has ever brought him. Audiences will be shocked to learn that life as an outcast led him to the world of comic book geekdom, as well as to wondering what would happen if Darth Vader had to move back home with his mom after the Death Star debacle. Then, once everyone is acquainted, with his views on commercials, the media, race, and class, Ron will weave a blanket of satire that will keep the audience in stitches. With Ron Swallow, one thing is for sure, hilarity will ensue.
Along with performing stand-up comedy at the Improv in Los Angeles, The Ice House in Pasadena, and clubs across the nation, Ron has had roles on television’s Orbital Broadcast One, Meet the Marks, and Mad TV, as well as the films But, I’m Batman (Batman Film Festival) and The Undate (Venice Film Festival.)

Comedian and Dork, Ron Swallow's Interests
General
Stand-up comedy, Jeet Kune Do, martial arts in general, rollerblading, comic books, poker, reading good books, and playing a little golf. Plus numerous other thing that would be difficult to list here. I mean for the love of god, interests change from day to day or even better grow from day to day. What am I a stagnant person who only likes coffee and his job. No I am growing changing human with the capacity to learn... a lot. Here's a videos of me on the Champions of Comedy, the only show to mix comedy and wrestling. Championship Comedy Match 4 Part 1
I love most rock n' roll. Mars Volta is amazing, yet I love classic rock, grunge, heavy metal and the blues. Led Zeppelin is probably my favorite band.
Movies
Bruce Lee, Martial arts movies, comic book movies, and Star Wars. I am a geek. Need I say more. Also I am a sucker for cheesey romantic comedies.
Here's a video from Tony Jaa, if you haven't seen him, rent Ong Bak and The Protector now. When you rent it it will have subtitles, but if that's a problem you should probably work on your reading skills.
Books
I think I have an eclectic taste in books, from Tom Robbins to Terry Goodkind, from George Carlin to Sue Grafton. Just like everyone else I have read all of the Harry Potter books.I read a lot. Here is a hilarious Harry Potter rap video you should watch.
HARRY POTTER IN THE HOOD
This is hard one. I would say that Bill Hicks and George Carlin, are two of my heroes in the comedy world. Then there are the guys like Brian Regan, David Cross, Marc Maron and Doug Stanhope, out there working there tails off and being funnier and funnier. Bruce Lee would be one of my heroes, not only because of his ability to kick some ass, but also because of his philosophical views on life. Not to mention he kicks ass.
About me: I am a stand-up comedian living in Los Angeles, CA. I tell jokes, read comic books and books in general, play poker and I am hilarious. Also, I have vast ninja skills.

Who I'd like to meet: People who are nice and don't suck. No overly conservative republicans need apply, because they lack the first and have the second in abundance.
