I loved to sing as a boy and started writing songs at the age of 8 or 9 years old; it was just something I loved to do.. as if it were part of my soul. One summer while my grand parents were on vacation, I had been snooping through the attic and came upon this old dusty banjo case, and when I opened it there inside was a very old tenor banjo! I asked my grandfather if I could use it, he said I could have it, and gave it to me, from that point on I was "hooked".Well one day wile working on this banjo, the janitor in my dads factory said that he had an old banjo in he closet for years and said he would bring it in for me to look at, and would sell it for $250.00. well the next day he brought it in to work, and I just flipped! It was an old 5 string SS Stewart, hand crafted about 1880, covered in mother of pearl with an ebony fret board and mahogany neck a hand carved grapeleaf disigne on the back of neck. Talk about falling in love; I fell in Love with this banjo. It was the most beautiful instrument I had ever seen. My dad said I'de wasted my money,HA HA!! boy was he ever wrong!! I have traveled all over this country with this banjo and it has brought me more joy the past 34 years than anything I have ever owned in my entire life. I continued to go the way of song writing, in spite of challenges along the way that have made me even more persistant to be a songwriter. I've always been a singer, and sense I was born to sing. and here I am to this day, still writing and singing songs. Nothing in this life will ever please me more! I have been a devoted fan of Country Music my entire adult life, Ron's music cuts a wide swath of styles combining all kinds of music creating a very creative mix of songs. RADIO good guy hops for the legendery mega producer ~Phil Spector~ as the years went by they changed there name to the ~The County Fair~ then scored a record deal in Nashville with ~Plantation Records~ owned by ~Shelby Singilton~ and several songs on Rons album called ~Collections of Ron Daisley~ and the ~Collectables Records~ verison called ~The Frog Record Story~ were produced by ~Royce Clark~ who later played the D.J. in the motion picture ~The Coal Miners Daughter~ staring ~Sissey Spacek~ Ron now has a studio in ~Austin Texas~ where he is recording several new CD's along with producing other projects and will hire out for sound engineering Weather I am rich, poor, happy, or sad, I will write and sing...you can here some of my songs from the 60's and get more information by going to my website... www.rondaisley.com
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
