Music is in the blood. Ancestors of past bring to me the future of what is now. All instruments performed are self taught from the age of 13. This is the best way. Do not waste your money on music school. You cannot be taught the art of the heart. The art of the human spirit. Write what you feel. Don't follow the leader. I have chosen to arise from my past into the solo artist I've become as started. Considered a songwriter, I mix my music with progressive electric guitar, classical nylon, folkish acoustic, 60's bass-style progressive writing, jazz to classical rock style drumming, and to top it off with vocal arays of melodramatic harmonies that are meaningful to our world we live in. I have written two demos (one Acoustic - 7 songs & one with all the instruments - 10 songs) and am trying to get my message out there. If my music can change the thoughts of one person, then I have done my job. I think it is about time someone from my generation makes a stand and uses their voice of freedom in the way it is meant to be heard. These songs you are hearing were done in two places, out in a Ranch in Devine, TX and in my 2 bedroom apartment here in San Antonio. No producers, writers, or even other musicians as a matter of fact. No money involved, just working the use of electricity off on the ranch shoveling dirt, or installing siding. Recording over a period of five months from start to finish on evenings and weekends. Sometimes getting three hours of sleep then going to work a 15 hour shift after that, then hitting up a guitar or bass track after that shift. Just me in an empty room writing my feelings out on the instrument of choice. I do not believe in paying hundreds or thousands of dollars on your art. If you do, then where does the art go? The Music is the ART after all. We have lost the meaning of that these days somehow. I guess people are to mixed up in the money and not the purpose. All these jams are done in one straight take never piecing anything together as they do now with the computer stuff. All recorded by myself using a Korg D1600 16Track Recorder. To date, this is the most difficult thing I have done in my life trying to balance a more than fulltime job with the recording of my demos. First, playing all the instruments, the timing of them, as all were played live, arrangement of mics, and then the grueling process of mixing, mastering, and editing. Man, now I know half of what you recording guys go through. This, I had to read and study over the internet and library for a month as I have no idea what I was about to get into. I even went to a couple of studios hear in town to see how they do. Got the door closed at one. Won't mention any names, you know who you are. Always remember, when you put your mine to it, you can accomplish anything you want. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from but what you do. Actions do infact and always speak louder than words! Enjoy.
