Temporary heroes - off the top of my head at the moment. Bono, John Bonifaz, Ray Mcgovern, Ron Paul, George Galloway, Steve Jobs, Joe McMoneagle.
Dead heroes? Nikola Tesla, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt.
NO WOMEN? UH, UH, AH, Dr. Helen Caldicott, Mother Teresa, Helen Thomas (all of them have very large balls)
Sorry to all my relatives whom aren't listed - I haven't been overly impressed with most of you, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for most of my 'smart' genes. No one donated me any beauty genes, though (oh well beauty and brains don't go together do they?).
All my grandma's I knew were pretty cool, especially the ones from my dad's side of the family. Thank you for being my ancestors.
When my kids finally support ME, they, too, will become heroes worthy of my admiration. Until then, they are heroes if they can just navigate their way through this wild world in one piece and learn to think for themselves.
You ought to notice every one above really all have a similar thread. None of them are followers. All of them are pioneers bucking the system.

When able, I enjoy taking digital pics at concerts... e.g., I took the picture used as my background. I'm getting better. The better the equipment I sneak in, the better the pictures ;) OH, also, there IS a such a thing as being TOO close!!!
Hobby: Trading bootleg recordings of bands I like. Prefs are always non-compressed formats, prefer first: video when available (HDTV, NTSC or PAL), digital audio, low-gen VHS, cassette, other?

Do you read my blogs? If you select view all blogs, there are current blogs and older blogs.
For some reason myspace splits them up once they are 'old'. If you want to read my older blogs select the older blogs tab under 'view all blogs' -- I know, confusing! Also, most of my blogs are not correctly viewable in anything but IE. Sorry about that!
Check out these links too. Catch me on AIM at roobah LINKS
Who I'd like to meet: Everyone I would like to meet is dead. I'll have to think about this one some more. I can think of plenty of people I hope I never meet or meet all the time and wish I didn't have to meet. Otherwise, I've met just about everyone I've ever wanted to meet. Maybe I didn't get to spend a lot of personal time with them, though. Maybe that's what this Q means? Did I get to spend enough time with the people I'd like to meet?
Quote of the Year (12/24/07) "Person of the Year - Ron Paul, the physician-politician. He injected the Presidential campaign with a dose of truth serum. Paul's straight talk on Iraq, and his straight talk on the Constitution, as Buchanan pointed out, and the limits of government have made him an Internet phemonema. In fact, Paul has become an independent force in the nation's life." -- John McLaughlin, Host and Producer of PBS's 'The McLaughlin Group'
Quote of the Day (11/04/06) "You go to hell! You can leave and you can take the rest of these lily-livered motherfuckers with you!" --President !!?? George W. Bush -- Capital Hill Blue Bush commenting to GOP suggestions during a strategy meeting that his presidency is "effectively over" unless he fires Rove, apologizes to the American People and revamps his cabinet for new a new strategy. (I wonder if he still feels the same way today?)
Quote of the Day (9/26/06) "If the League of Nations collapsed because of Hitler, the credit for the imminent demise of United Nations will go to Bush. If Hitler is demonised as the mass murderer of Jews , the name of George W. Bush will be painted black in the history as the greatest enemy Islam, whose hands were red with the blood of lacs of innocent Muslim men, women and children. The great American civilization and its scrupulous and tolerant people will not be able to purge themselves of the sins of their monster President if they do not rise against him at this historical juncture." --Dr. Mustafa Kamal Sherwani -- The President as War Criminal Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor, Zanzibar University, Republic of Tanzania -- MILLI GAZETTE
Quote of the Day (9/26/06) "It is but a forgone conclusion that Bush will haunt down Iran over this fictitious nuclear issue, ... At this moment it is the sacred obligation of Iranian people to symbolize the dignity, not only of the Muslim world, but of the vast multitude of humanity which is looking for some savior to seek emancipation from devilish activities of Bush and his hangers-on. If Bush has emerged as the Pharaoh for the world, Iran must assume the role of Moses." --Dr. Mustafa Kamal Sherwani -- Milli Gazette
Quote of the Day (7/28/06) "Once punks and anarchists come of age or get the urge to vote, they get a new label: Libertarian." -- Roobah
Quote of the Day (6/22/06) "What saved me was . . . my nose. I have a fairly well developed figurative sense of smell, or to put it differently, a sense of the worth (or worthlessness!) of human, moral, political views and attitudes." -- --Dr. Norman D. Livergood on the The New Nazi Regime in America
Quote of the Day (6/19/06) "I was once asked if I had any ideas for a really scary reality TV show. I have one reality show that would really make your hair stand on end: 'C-Students from Yale'." -- Kurt Vonnegut -- Custodians of Chaos
Quote of the Day (5/03/06) "So let's explain: Roger Waters is the Vivaldi, the Beethoven and the Mozart of the modern era. He composed at least two of the compositions no cultured person can live without knowing: Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. You can love him, you can hate him. But you can't ignore him. His power stretches far beyond time and space..." ---Guy Benyovits on The messiah is coming!(www.ynet.news)
