    Based in the isolated Pennine-valley town of Alston, Room Full Of Owls combine a hybrid of folk, funk and ambient pop to create their own distinctive and catchy sound. Already-established singer/songwriter Fiona Clayton is backed by an energetic mix of guitar, fiddle, keys and funk-influenced rhythm section. The band have been astonishing audiences since their inception in early 2008, performing across Cumbria and the North of England, including a critically acclaimed performance at the Drystone Stage at Solfest and high-profile support slots with The Brute Chorus and the Joy Formidable. The band recently appearance on The BBC Introducing show for BBC Radio Lancashire, where they entertained listeners with excerpts from their forthcoming EP, whilst chatting to radio host Sean Mcginty.

About Us


Alston based band, Room Full Of Owls have been playing their well-received folky, alternative rock across UK venues since October 2008. In this time the band have obtained prestigious support slots with up-and-coming luminaries, such as the Joy Formidable and the Airborne Toxic Event as well as playing many of Cumbria's top festivals, including their triumphant, memorable set on Solfest's drystone stage in 2009.
