The Rooney Street Team is a fan-run, grassroots team dedicated to promoting the band Rooney. If you've been a Rooney fan for a while, you may have seen the team go through many different stages, but we're pleased that it's back where it started - by the fans, for the fans. Robert Schwartzman said best what the team is all about:
"It's all about spreading the Rooney love. You can make posters, stickers, pins, decorate your car, etc. Anything that will give people info about Rooney ... It takes more than just an ad in the weekly newspaper and some flyers. It takes dedicated fans who will work the streets and build the band up in a organic way."
The team's biggest project at the moment is to collect the funds necessary to promote the release of Rooney's next album and tour. The main way we are working on doing this is through the fan designed merchandise in the Rooney Street Team Store. If you'd like to help out in our efforts and stay updated on what's happening in the Rooney Street Team world, join the team!
The administrative aspects of the team (updating the site, maintaining the database, etc.) are run by Miranda, who you may know from the Rooney fansite Mastedonia. Jenny L. designs promotional materials for the team, as well as all of the designs that you see in the Rooney Street Team Store.
If you'd like to join the Rooney Street Team, please do so through the Rooney Street Team website.
