Music
musically, I like just about everything-sans polka and rap(though polka drummers are some of the best ever!) Ive played everything from power-pop music to the heaviest of heavy metal and everything in between. I grew up listening to early punk and metal and thats what I gravitate to naturally.
Im in a recording punk band called "October Rising" - from the same musical short bus riders that brought you the renowned and much beloved "Star Spangled Bastards." To hear some old bastards schtuff, click onto one of the Curlys in my friends list. We have been very fortunate to have had some of our music even played on the Howard Stern Show so we must not suck TOOO badly.
I have also been in 2 of northeast Ohio's premier metal bands: Breaker and Wintersbane.

Movies
The Silence of the Lambs.....best movie ever! I also love silly, goofy movies like "Joe Dirt" and other such nonsense.....nonsense makes the world go round!
Television
Im not much of a "network" television kind of a guy, the only shows I enjoy from that side of the entertainment tracks being "Family Guy," "The Simpsons," "Lost" and "House." At one point I used to look foward to Sunday nights as the holy grail of TV viewing: The Simpsons, King of the Hill and the X-Files...ALL IN ONE NIGHT! It was paradise! And then Mulder just HAD to leave the show to focus on his, uhm, movie career..............putz.
Books
Like with music, I enjoy all different generes of books. My favorite of all time are Frank Herbert's Dune series, along with the sequels (or pre-quels in this case) co-authored by his son Brian. I also love the "Dragonriders of Pern" series by Ann McCaffery. Im a science fiction nut but I also like the real history type books, like the case files of Jack the Ripper and things of that sort. Some of the most compelling reads are the biographys of rock-stars and the ones that look into pop-culture icons. Aerosmith's "Walk This Way," "The Backstage History of Saturday Night Live," "Growing up Brady," and "KISS and Tell" are some of the best books I have ever read. I also enjoy medical journals and text books.
Heroes
The guy who came up with the "Real American Heroes"/"Real Men of Genius" ads on the radio! Every single one of those is a gem! and.....Hannibal Lecter...greatest literary figure ever created.
About me: I am just your typical white boy/cherokee musician. Im a working bass player in several bands at the present time. I also started back to school a few years ago to get a degree in pre-med/biology and hope to be in medical school in the near future.
I have been very fortunate to have done alot of unusual things in my life...such as have a large part in a cult zombie movie("The Dead Next Door", by the great director, J.R.Bookwalter.)I have skydived and traveled to Europe. I have worked in a variety of different fields(I get bored easily.) I have even taken part in breaking the world record for playing basketball continuously. 80 hours of constant up and down the court action! The kicker? one week after WE broke the record, a team from Australia went for 89 hours, so we never made it into the record book. Hows that for a kick in the nads? I have also had lots of operations...that is what happens when you get run over by a fork-lift. 4 shoulder surgeries, 2 wrist surgeries and some other, shall we say, less fun ones. Pain....ha, thats for pussies!
