digital art, pure design, zen buddhism, mathematics, architecture, the net, sustainable building technology, photography, web design, engineering, product design, rock climbing, running, walking, film, healthy eating, raw foods, preparing food, green tea, nature, cities, music, all things unique and experimental and making the most of what I have.
When I’m not trying to make pretty and profound things out of geometry I enjoy other geeky pastimes like pondering the obscurities of number theory and designing and building liquid bubble insulated greenhouses.
Hanging out with my smelly kids and wife, rock climbing, running and Zazen sitting meditation are all other things I try to do on a regular basis in an attempt to stop myself becoming a complete anal nerd.

Root2Art In Real Space
In am digital artist and am primarily interested in exploring digital spaces as a means of getting my work onto flesh and blood retinas. It saves a lot of faffing around and this way I get more time to make new art. My work does however, leave my hard drive on occasions and venture into the muddy vestige of decay.
Root2Art Custom Node Framing System
I’ve spent a lot of time this year developing a archival framing system for my digital prints. This is my attempt to make a display system for the 21st Century and not just hack a frame from the pre-digital era to try buff up my prints. A lot of art made in the last century is already falling to pieces and fading. My other aim with this combined print and frame media was to engineer a product that would last for many centuries without deterioration. This has proved to be quite a challenge.
Pre-digital Outmoded Methods
Before I started using a digital tools I painted these damn things which used to take a age. The art in those days was derived using a compass and rule. The vector software I use today does a similar yob, its just faster at the colouring in.
Who I'd like to meet: I am keen to meet other digital artist who are exploring the Internet as a serious arena for distributing their work and who are focused on raising the profile of digital art with in the wider art world.
i heard the bad news from cousin john the other night when he was looking rather...bristly. he said you were coming but i thought it was just the beer talking.
I did indeed build it, in a program called Reaktor, it's great fun! I'm working on some new creations at the moment which will be able to do much more awesome stuff, I'll let you know when it's built! Do you climb at the UEA still? I went climbing for the first time in about 2 years the other day - I'm proper shit now man (not that I was that good in the first place). Hope you're well purveyor of filth!
Hey mate, hows it goin? I finished that damn dissertation, hope you don't mind but I stole a quote from you. I have also just added some 2-Dimensional tesselation designs you may like in my pics, would be good to hear your opinion, Cheers Damian
