| General | My interest is obviously magic, now. And DréAmm. I'm really interested in learning all I can about this place. I also like making things with clay and I love going for long walks outside. I love my Hovermutt, Stogie and looooove Chorm, of course.
| | Music | I like all kinds of music and have been introduced to some really great bands in DréAmm. One is called The Fignots. They play live under water in a gigantic tank!
| | Movies | I love movies but I have yet to see one here in DréAmm. They have this thing, it's an instrument of some sort, called an Imaginator and it projects a 3-D holographic image right in front of you. It's used for research, like we do when we're on the Quest but also for entertainment and even for decoration. I wonder if they can play movies on it, too. Hmmmm...
| | Television | I never watched TV. The aunts wouldn't let me, which was fine with me since watching TV would have meant sharing their company. No thanks.
| | Books | I have too many favorite books to mention but probably not near as many as my friend, Lian. He can go to sleep with a book under his pillow and wake up in the morning knowing every single page off by heart. Needless to say his resulting knowledge has come in handy.
| | Heroes | My hero is Jorab. He's the most amazing, wisest, kindest and most powerful person I've ever met. Even Lord Blick, whose the Grand Captain of DréAmm Defence says he's glad Jorab's on our side. I'm not entirely sure who or what the 'other side' is but I'm pretty sure it's to do with that Murk Lord, Kakos.

About me:
The best way to learn all about me and DréAmm is at my website rootkarbunkulus.com.
In the meantime, I'll tell you a bit about myself. My name is Root Karbunkulus. I'm fourteen and have just recently been invited to participate in the First Magisterial Treasure Quest of DréAmm. DréAmm is this magical land where apparently I was born. So, I guess those two gross spinsters I have been living with aren't my blood relatives after all.
Anyhow, I got this really cool magic key that got me into DréAmm and now I'm teamed up with two guys, Lian Blick whose a Nodmin. When he gets older he'll have a huge nose and enormous ears so fat they'll literally flop right over. But Lian's pretty smart. He says he's gonna find a way to prevent the ear-flop thing. If anyone can, it will be him. My other team mate is Dwyn Puffler. He really irritated me at first, one of those guys who thinks he's all that (though most girls would agree). He's grown on me, though and in fact has become a pretty good friend. On this first quest we have to find the Miist of Kalliope. It's like this amazing golden flask that has inside it an elixer so powerful it can even raise the dead.
I feel like I'm in that cool show "The Great Amazing Race", but it's even cooler 'cause there's magic and I'm in this ancient land and I'm racing against, like two hundred other kids. The only thing is, there are only six of these Miists to be found. And I don't mind saying there's, in my opinion, an abundance of cheating going on. Not to mention a creepy Murk Lord named Kakos who seems to have the whole place living in fear. That and a dilapidated castle with a Krux on it. What's a Krux? It's like a curse that can wreak havoc on castle guests. We're told that as long as we watch out for the cold spots we'll be okay. Ah, well, at least I'm not stuck in that ridiculous half puce, half orange house anymore. Plus, I can drink Chorm 24/7! It's like the smoothest, richest, creamiest, tastiest chocolate drink in the whole universe. Mmmmmmm....I think I'm gonna like it here in DréAmm. Once I get the hang of the magic.
And, between you and me, I'm gonna find the Miist of Kalliope, too!

Who I'd like to meet? My parents, if they're still alive.
And a real Sagician, which is a magician of the highest order, a fully realized sage of both magic and truth. I would have liked to have met Kalliope, the Beloved, too.
