Rootscd.com is a small, friendly Roots music loving company based in the South West of England. Launched 21 April 2008, we are real people selling real music to lovers of good honest-to-God roots music from all over the World. We give our customers access to many fantastic hard to find independent releases, some previously only available at the artists live shows.
We specialise in our first love of blues, rockabilly and rocknroll but we're also nuts about all good roots music. We currently stock CDs from over 20 different countries and our catalogue is growing every single day.
We listen to every release we stock (really!), and we understand and support our artists and we love their music too! There's no prominent placement for money on our site, so if we say it's good, it's because we like it, not because we've been paid to like it! Every artist get's a great deal on sales of their music through Rootscd.com, so buying from us actually helps to financially support roots artists and roots music in a positive way. Wherever we can, we pay our artists direct and cut-out any of them money grabbing middlemen!

We offer our customers high quality samples of every track on an album to help them make their choice, along with customer reviews, press reviews, links to the artists websites and much more.
Our Flash-based music players give artists some of the best security available to protect their music from illegal downloading and file sharing. Unlike many other music retail sites, it's almost impossible to "steal" their music from our site.

Selling your CD's on Rootscd.com is totally non-exclusive, you can withdraw your CD from sale any time that you wish and you can sell your CD's anywhere else that you like.
Being UK based we're a little more convenient for many European artists than the U.S. based sites. We know from experience that posting CD’s to the U.S. isn’t exactly cheap, then, when you take into consideration the weak dollar against the Pound and Euro, it’s not that great financially for European artists to sell their CD’s in U.S. Dollars.
Selling your CD in Pounds makes sense if you’re an American artist too. If we sell your CD for £10.00-£12.00 that’s $20-$25!, so even after deductions you’re probably making a little more money, and your European customers are getting a faster service, without the risk of incurring customs charges too!

The Sales Bros. Blast Off - Our first foray into Soul is one of the best albums of its kind that I have ever heard. Hunt & Tony Sales toured the world with David Bowie and Iggy Pop as Tin Machine.
