ROOTS KARTET was founded in 2008 when 4 long time reggae musicians of the West of France came together to create a unique sound, blend of modern, newroots and dancehall styles, however deeply rooted in the Jamaican classical works. The backing band follows the singers in every artistic step they take (on stage or recording in studio). Through its compositions or interpretations, Roots kartet plays a reggae that sometimes incorporates a touch of hip-hop, sometimes a touch of soul music, spreading its groove to serve artists and their message.

Matinant ses compositions et interprétation tantôt d'une touche de hip-hop, tantôt de soul, RK distille son groove pour servir les artistes et leur message ..
