I am passionate about life and all things good and positive. My aim is to spread positive vibes and to connect positive people. Born and brought up in the East of London amid the racial tensions of the time; injustice and inequality are still as important an issue today as they were to me back then.
I bought my first reggae vinyl in 1981. Maybe I got a few too many now!
People say I am a good DJ, but all I know is I love the music, I feel the music. I play what I feel and people react. Strictly Roots n Culture.
I try to live a sentient life, including having a sentient-vegan diet. I dont like calling myself vegan because it's more important for my spiritual journey to aspire to being sentient, than to follow a particular diet.
I have a strong affinity for the philosopher P.R. Sarkar, especially with regards to social welafre and the welfare of the planet (you could argue that he was the first green philosopher, when he wrote about the importance of protecting the planet and the welfare of all animals, plants, humans, etc). His philosopy on an economic structure which puts the welfare of people, animals, plants and the planet at the centre scares the rich families of this world and as such their puppet governments do their best to put it down. An abridged version of this philosophy can be found in the aptly named "After Capitalism", which in my opinion is a must read book for all green and socially minded people..
I have been volunteering for AMURT (a grass roots charity which empowers people to help themselves) since the 1990's. I am organising various charity fund raising events for AMURT.
I would really appreciate your help in organising events or just by donating via my just giving page (which includes TAX efficient gift aid).
My most unreserved love is for my Guru, who through HIS loving embrace, guides me along this turbulent, yet ultimately rewarding path of bliss. Baba Nam Kevalam.
