From Annemasse (France), Roots Of Madness was created in 2005 by Christophe (Guitar) and his friend Alexandre.
After looking-up for his line-up, the band started to compose songs and doing some gigs.
Their first recording "Before The Darkness" is released. But the original line-up changed and Natacha (Bassist) and a drummer joined the band.
Unfortunately, after 6 months they must find a singer : the original singer must leave the band, due to lack of work.
After some months of auditions, the band is looking for a singer! Romain joins the band and brings his skills.
Recently, the drummer leave the band, looking for another kind of music.
Antoine joins us, they can keep on working hard for next gigs, and recording their second album
Basé en France, près d'Annemasse (74), Roots Of Madness est formé en 2005 par Christophe (Guitare) et Alexandre, un ami compositeur-chanteur. Apres avoir trouvé leur line-up, ils décident de composer et tourner sur scène.
Un 1er maxi 5 titres «Before The Darkness » est sorti en décembre 2005, puis il y a eu du changement dans le groupe avec Natacha qui les rejoint à la basse et un nouveau batteur. Malheureusement 6 mois après l'arrivée des 2 nouveaux membres, le groupe doit se séparer de son chanteur.
Après quelques mois d'auditions et d'essais, Romain prend contact et apporte son savoir-faire pour dynamiser les titres. Avec des essais très prometteurs, Roots Of Madness enregistre de nouvelles compositions.
Leur style, en évolution par rapport au 1er Maxi 5 titres, est devenu maintenant plus radical. Mélange de différents styles de Métal, leurs influences sont diverses, et tellement diverses qu’il est difficile de coller une étiquette au groupe.
Le batteur décidant d'un coup de vouloir continuer seul selon ses propres goûts musicaux, Antoine les rejoint pour le remplacer. Les répétitions s'enchaînent rapidement et le groupe peut donc reprendre sa préparation aux concerts et l'enregistrement d'un second album.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
