Bio
The Roots of Orchis formed in 1998. They are originally from San Diego and are now based out of San Francisco. The band has released four full length albums, an EP and has extensively toured the U.S. Originally influenced by late-nineties instrumental post rock and the local San Diego music scene, the band's sound has evolved over the years. Defining elements of the music include the use of two bassists, keyboards, guitar, turntables, live drums and drum samples. Currently, The Roots of Orchis is on hiatus from playing shows but is working on new material for an upcoming release. Unfortunately the website has been taken over by a porn site.
