The product of a highly educated family of seven, Rootwords, born in the United States of Zambian heritage, brings rhyming to higher levels. Having moved around frequently in his youth, Rootwords has developed the gift of being able to communicate thoughts and words to an international audience. During his studies, Rootwords released tracks on numerous mixtapes and performed in venus of many types and sizes. He was once called to rap on stage with Common who was seriously impressed with his lyrical aptitude and flow. Rootwords describes his rhyming and musical vision as the rawest and purest form of hip-hop. Much like a “root word” itself being a word devoid of any affixes. He is currently pouring all his lyrical prowess and genius into A-stout’s debut album!
