  • No Request, Please.

Do random folks come and interrupt you from YOUR JOB while your WORKING?? Or, better yet, do people YOU DON'T KNOW with NO experience in your line of work come TELL you how 2 do your job?? If they did, you probably wouldn't like it too much, right?? Riiiiiiight... hmmmmm...

So please don't get offended when you come 2 the DJ Booth and I say "hold on for a sec" ...I'M WORKING HERE!! lol!! But seriously ....I have no problem taking "suggestions" but remember, is a night club, NOT the radio station! So there are no need for "requests". There is a reason why the venue/promoters have hired me for their event. Think about it, If they wanted to hear your playlist, they would of hired YOU! LMAO!! But on the real, be patient, its likely "your song" will be played soon
If you don't like what I say... just come tell me that I'm #1 in your book.

Again, I am working, so for every moment you are standing there, meddling (while bumping into me or almost wasting your beverage on my equipment), trying to think of the title of the song you want, I am missing out on paying attention to the entire crowd and what everyone else is doing. In the process, chances are I am going 2 miss my transition 2 the next track while waiting on you.

People always look at Dj's and say "oh thats easy" or "I could do that", 8 of 10 couldn't do it, the other 1 would give up trying. Mixing is an art, and a lot of times the masterpiece can be ruined by one person.

Maybe your reading this saying, " why cant he be nice?" or "why is he such a jerk?" Allow me 2 address those individuals.

I'm paid 2 entertain the MASSES with my musical selection, not to appease one person at a time. Feel free to hire me, and I will play whatever you want! Put your money where your mouth is! "Gotta Pay The Cost 2 Be The Boss!!"

I retort ...There is a reason why the venue/promoters have hired me for their event. Think about it, If they wanted to hear your playlist, they would of hired you...

[BTW..The Ro Parrish official disclaimer: 'People always say "keep it real" or "be honest" ..then those same people get mad when you tell them the truth and they can't handle or don't like it...really think about that.. be careful what you ask for!! lol']

  • Ro Parrish Bio

Focused. Talented. Confident….just a few words to describe Ro Parrish.  He has taken the entertainment world by storm with two turntables, a microphone and the ambition to become a master of his art.  In addition to his passion for music, his experiences take him to television and the big screen, making him into one of the industry’s most sought after.

The eldest of two, Ro was raised in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas.  From the moment he first broke his father’s turntables scratching "The Show/Lodi Dodi" by Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh, he has always considered himself a 'DJ'.  Even before the time he had the money to purchase turntables, he would attempt to "scratch" & “mix” on his dual cassette decks.

“From my childhood years to college, I was always told by my peers I should be a DJ since I always knew what was hot and had more music then anyone, however; I never had the money for equipment.”

While pursuing his degree at the University of North Texas in radio/television and film, Ro’s ideal career to become a movie director was soon overshadowed by another passion for being in front of the camera. During his sophomore year, Ro debuted onto the screen on NTTV as sophomore where he earned the title of Sports Director, while serving as a sports intern for WFAA Channel 8. He prides himself in capitalizing on this experience and setting it as the infrastructure of his networking base.

Realizing his talent and potential, WSAV/NBC presented Ro with the opportunity to work as a sports anchor. This later facilitated further On-Air/Hosting opportunities, such as working with the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Black Entertainment Television and Fox Sports Radio.  Currently, you can catch Ro on Fox Sports Southwest where he hosts “Mavs Insider” and as a special correspondent for “Cowboy’s Insider” where he takes the fans of America’s team into “Ro’s Room” every week.

Ro was also an integral part of the Arbitron rated overall number one station in Dallas-Fort Worth, KKDA/K104. There he ascended from a member of the street team to earning his own on-air time slot. His creative abilities made him responsible for an unprecedented annual twenty-week High School Football program. As screaming fans rant, "Its Ro with K104", Parrish never loses sight of his purpose and stays focused. A true jack of many trades, he is positioning himself to be a master of many. He declares himself a teacher of those who listen, and a learner of those willing to teach.

“In my time working at KKDA/K104, I saved some money and decided to purchase some equipment. Dj Steve Nice was instrumental in my development as a mixer”

Since shifting his efforts to full-time nightclub DJ in some of the hottest venues nationwide, he has provided the evening’s soundtrack names such as Lebron James, Nelly, Three-6 Mafia, and Ice Cube. Ro has also handled public and private events for numerous members of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.  He has performed along side of and mixed at events with Legendary DJ's Don Cannon, Biz Markie and Kid Capri.  As the Dallas Maverick’s official DJ, Ro welcomes fans to every home game with the hottest music and entertainment.

Parrish serves as an entertainer behind the turntables and in front of the camera, while still making time to mentor young teens and provide them with wise counsel as an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. His recent move back from the Big Apple has definitely expanded his observations and heightened his sense of productivity. Print modeling along with acting has been added, further expanding his talents. Look for Ro in the Universal Film 'American Gangsters' starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe where he made his acting debut.

As Parrish continues to dispel all myths of the entertainment industry with tenacity and flawless ambition, it is only a matter of time before we are taking a seat in the front Ro!

The patriarch of the Jackson clan speaks publicly for the first time since his son's death to CNN's Don Lemon.

Joe Jackson... (smh) I dont think he gets it ... maybe he was high on something or perhaps he is just that 'heartless' (shouts 2 kanye) ...some of Josephs words are simply unbelievable
