The 22 year old lyricist got his start with the poetry scene, an attribute which has now become a large part of his style. A fusion of spoken word and classic hip-hop. Obviously, just by listening, Roscoe is not your run-of-the-mill Southern artist. With a pen and pad, he is quickly separating himself from the "pack", and re-defining the name of Southern Hip-hop and Poetry. Born in Richmond, VA he's no stranger to both country and city life. Tales of life from the rural side of the tracks and his visions of growing up around poverty, crime, and injustice, and the struggle of not fitting-in are painted with a colorful pallete of lyricism, passion, sensitivity, wit, and a touch sarcasm. Roscoe Burnems is mixture of everything hip-hop. Equipped with a undieing love for music, a smoothe voice, articulate delivery, and an amazing back-2-back rhyme scheme, he is definitely the new face of Spokenword and Urban Music.
