Miguel Dias is a portuguese song-writter, and formed Rose Blanket in 2003, joined by Frederico Pedreira and Sérgio Pereira. The first Rose Blanket's recordings can be listened in Bor Land compilations. The debut and full-length album was released in 2004. Homonymous, this album is essentially Lo-Fi and simply exploring Rose Blanket's intimate atmosphere. The first CD speaks of personal stories, moments lived, imagined and dreamed, of relationships and whispered silences mirroring the tranquility of an unhurried melody. "Our early balloons", the second album, was released on October 2008. This time Miguel Dias composed with a greater variety of instruments, inviting several musicians with different musical backgrounds to participate. In this record the sonority blossoms brighter and rythmical, yet maintains Rose Blanket's murmered and intimate individuality. Melodically and lyrically "Our Early Balloons" tends to eschew the verse chorus approach, preferring instead a more free-form approach. "Nothing Ahead Nothing Behind" is the upcoming third studio album by Rose Blanket, to be released on October 2011. This record is a double album, and preceding its release, the album's lead single "Feel My Way Around" features guest vocals from Jennifer Charles (Elysian Fields).
