   About Charlie Rose
plays banjo, double bass, guitar, mandolin,and cello. from Lawrence, KS. residing in Jamaica Plain, MA



lived in Austin, TX for a while and toured with the Asylum Street Spankers. Whilst in ATX, recorded and frequently performed with the South Austin Jug Band, Warren Hood (the Waybacks), and Brennan Leigh.

NOTES ABOUT THE TUNES:

live version of "someone's something", by C. Rose and M. McGowan, was recorded in July '07 by dream band during dinner at Shasta camp. Alex Hargreaves on fiddle, Dominick Leslie on mandolin, Paul Kowert on bass, Nat Smith on cello, Grant Gordy on guitar, and CR on banjo.

this version of "Old Cello Waltz" will be on the new Crooked Jades album, schuduled for release this spring.

a sketch version of "Peoria" , soon to be recorded with a band for upcoming album


"If I get there and it's raining" is from a recent Mill City Ramblers ep, with Old Time Dave Talmage on Guitar and Vocals, Steve Roy on Mandolin, and CR on Bass.

Thanks for the info :)

I'm using Pops Rosin now in the Red container.. I will Check on those Upton Bows.
The Bow I have now is a Glasser. Not sure if it is just mine, but the area where the frog hair attaches is ever so slightly warped, and makes it kind of hard to get the hair to go perfectly straight across the strings..
