Growing up in a strict Christian home, the only "secular" music allowed to be played was classical, jazz, and a few 1960's folk albums left over from her mother's hippie past. This was the music that shaped the songwriting of Rose Fraser. Her voice is jazzy and soulful, the main "instrument" of her music, accompanied by rhythmic acoustic guitar and abstract chords. Very lyrically driven, Rose Fraser's song content covers many things from God to sailors, bitterness to love. She is a dynamic solo performer who entrances audiences with her storytelling and lush vocals.
