-rose:marí- is an experimental duo project centered around self-expression; delving into many genres of music, ultimately to provide an auditory backdrop of human emotions. With an unclassifiable sound, -rose:marí- is simply a new experience for any listener. Their image is centered around the Japanese visual kei culture, and musical influence stretches from jazz, classical, French chansons, all the way to underground hardcore, punk, avant garde, dub, ambient and more.
Célestin and Yofiel are the two forgotten children of Rosemary; forced to adapt to a strange and oppressive world. They aspire to use sound as the way to reflect the experiences that Life has given them; songs of love, hate, happiness, admonition and death.
-rose:marí- was formed in April 2009 by Célestin and Yofiel; both formerly of the band Aura V'eil. Although still a very young project, their first single release, "Sincerely,", generated over 1000 plays in the first two weeks of being posted. They are completely studio-ready with more than an album's worth of exotic material waiting to be recorded.
