"Rosemary Device" came alive when four guys from two Cincinnati- based bands met for a jam session and found what they all had been looking for: musicians with the same mind-set and goals. Brett Scharf (guitar / vocals and founding member of his former band ‘Spindle’) had been riding the wave of a record deal with Triple Crown Records, touring with bands such as Brand New, Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio and Motion City Soundtrack (to name a few). After several line ups that didn’t work out, (Brett) Scharf realized they needed a stronger front man. He remembered a band called ‘Krinj’ (who shared the stage with acts like Boy Sets Fire, The Format, Breaking Benjamin, Hey Mercedes, Emanuel) and their singer in particular: Brandon Migliorisi. They arranged a get-together to test the waters. This first session was so successful that they decided to travel to Tampa FL and record a set of demos with Mike Major, who previously worked with Sparta, Coheed and Cambria, and At the Drive- In. With Markie Schulte on drums and percussion, and Ben Franks co-writing, playing bass, and backing vocals, the results are in. This is the Rosemary Device.
