Sincere vocalist, talented song-writer, arranger, and true performer are just a couple of phrases that have been attached to fresh, new artist Rosemary Fiki. Rosemary was born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. Rosemary grew up listening to great artists like Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder, studying their body of work as well as their ability to become geniuses at their craft. Rosemary began honing her craft in gospel choirs, talent shows, and local stage plays.
While attending Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rosemary expressed her vocal artistry while performing in talent showcases, concerts, and singing back-up for several local artists. Rosemary was invited to sing the National Anthem and God Bless America at numerous Temple University Men & Womens Basketball games. To date, audiences have enjoyed watching Rosemary perform at the Five Spot, Warmdaddys, The Clef Club, Temple University, The World Café Live, Fergies Pub, The Black Womens Arts Festival at the Rotunda, The Big Show Apollo Night at the Art Museum, Jam Session at the Arden Theatre, The PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Delaware, Doral Forrestal in Princeton, New Jersey and many other performance venues.
Rosemary has the rare ability to sing with emotional integrity that can evoke heartfelt responses from her audience. She shares her powerful voice along with her sensitive false-setto, which makes her sound distinctive in her own right. On her debut EP, "My Own Space" Rosemary shares her soul in communicating the vivid reflections of her relentless journey in finding her voice and compelling message. Her love of up-tempo songs and moving ballads are evident in this EP that fuses R&B, Pop, Soul/Funk. Rosemary invites all listeners to sit, experience, and enjoy her music. As Rosemary continues to sing, compose, arrange, and record it is her hope that her voice and music will inspire others to find their voice and message in their own space.
