My name is Tegan, but all my friends have come up with some sort of nickname for me. Call me whatever you want.
I'm a dancer. I'm a sophomore at AU. Jenks Hall. My friends are pretty sweet. :)
I'm not gonna brag about myself or tell you how much cooler I am than you. That's not how I do things.
If you like me.... that's cool. If you think I suck.... that's cool too.
I'm pretty big on music :) I'm shy... very shy. I'm impatient... I'm a romantic. I could be described as fragile, yes. I'm horribly ticklish and I get offended easily. I love maturity with a touch of nonsensical immaturity. I like big words. I wanna travel..... everywhere. I don't like liars. I love love LOVE local bands. 'Cuz they make music so much more real than mainstream media.
My 2 favorite movies are The Boondock Saints and A Knight's Tale. Bring me a blanket, a peach tea, and either one of those DVDs and you have my attention for a whole day.
Hi lady! Just droppin ya a line to let ya know we'll be jammin at Mad Maggies in Elgin on the 23rd. We play at 7 so it'd be a great way to kick off your night out! We look forward to meetin ya!
People are like slinky's: not particularly useful in any way, though one can't help but smile as they tumble down a flight of stairs!! Ah, slow day, haha. No real use for blowing up your comment board but alas here we are in all of our inane, useless wit and irrelevant banter! Hope life's treating you well, random anonymous myspace associate, haha! Kidding. Hope all is splendorous with you Tegan face! (Yup, totally busted out splendorous, it was a bet and we won!!). And we mean that in the most non-sarcastic way imaginable, haha!
Oui Si Only You (all of us, huddled closely around the screen taking turns typing)
Hey! This thursday we're playing at the Crimzon Spider in Chicago!!
Theres no cover so come hang out w/us! It should be a good time. Let
me know if you can make it! Later!
So it’s about that time of the month again . . . get your mind out of the gutter you sicko, there’s no blood or anything like that here, haha. Instead it’s time for your comment section to become even more filled with useless crap, though within this inane message there lies a point. It's kind of like those old "Where's Waldo?" books where there's a ton of distractions that catch your eye and within all that you're looking for this really lame, bland person, though that person in this case the distractions are moronic wit and the person is actually our music that may have been relevant ten years ago but probably not, haha!
Anyways, for some reason we keep getting asked to do concerts which is odd, because nobody goes to concerts anymore, especially not in Chicago. I had just heard of this "Chicago," yesterday and thought it was made up but we shall see! I've heard stories about it though, especially on a Saturdays. It's like a ghost town, I hear. You can actually stand on State Street and watch haystacks blow by like one of those lame Western films apparently! Not sure I believe it, but I'm down to find out if you are, so come see for yourself next Saturday Nov. 28th at Reggie's Rock Club (2109 South State Street) at 7pm for a 17+ show. As if my underselling of our abilities (or lack of
ability) doesn't convince you, there may or may not be breakdancing as well!
Much love to all who wasted their time reading this. The tuck in train has just pulled into the station and the streetlights are on outside, which means it's time for footy pajamas and bed, haha! Peace.
Oui Si Only You (Yes Yes Only You) . . . clever bastards
Don’t you hate it when lame ass Rock bands from Chicago, whom you foolishly befriended months ago, randomly appear in comment form to invite you out to their inane shows as if they believe you’re gullible enough (you do know gullible isn’t in the dictionary, right?) and/or lacking in a social life to actually come hang? Me too. Good thing we’re not much a band or this would be awkward, haha! Awkward like the first dance between two hormone raging teens going through puberty, haha! Anyways, yeah it’s us Oui Si Only You in our most impersonal social networking form! Sorry for getting you all excited to see that you have a new comment only to be disappointed, like a jilted lover on prom night. Hey though, at least we didn’t do one of those lame "Do you like me?” things, right?! I don’t think our fragile hearts could take the answer to that, haha. Any who, we’re rocking (debatable I know, but is it master debatable remains the ultimate question!) our last all age show for the year out at a splendid little establishment called Breakaway Lounge in Villa Park (345 West North Avenue) this Friday Oct. 30th at 8:30pm. We could all perish happily knowing you came out and mocked our uninspired/downright ignorant brand of music and A.D.D. riddled stage energy too! Peace face.
Yeah! I used to play in the leaves when I was little.. Now I'm the guy who has to rake the leaves... Not as fun! What are you dressing for on Halloween?
hey there =) my band Rawr Alexis Rawr is playing a FREE Acoustic show in Fox Valley's Hot Topic in Aurora =) its on the 23rd and we start at 6:00pm. Can we count on seeing you there? =)
Sooo Tegan, I heard there's a rumor going around in the kooky cyberspace world (which I may or may not have
started) that this really dope band is going to be rocking a set at the Underpass in Franklin Park this Saturday Oct. 10th at 3pm and the Breakaway Lounge in Villa Park on Friday Oct. 30th. So you know, if you happen to stumble upon someone whom we randomly harass on myspace, let them know that said band would love to have them come hang and pelt them with Jello pudding before dropping stupid puns like they're a hero in a lame 90s' action film. Probably something along the lines of "The proof's in the pudding!" or something equally ridiculous, but it's flexible so feel free to get down with your uber creative self, haha. Mainly it's trying to get as many people as possible to come. Not for checking out the bands like you'd think, but rather because it's getting colder outside and times are tough, so it's more so for packing bodies that can huddle together to stay warm instead of using a heater, haha! Peace.
Hey Tegan!! Figured it's been a minute since we trespassed through your page (admit it, you missed our sarcastic wit, haha!) and endlessly annoyed the crap out of you, haha! We've got some awesome shows coming up on Wednesday September 23rd at Shark City in Glendale Heights (21+) and Saturday September 26th at Penny Road Pub in Barrington (All ages)! We'd love to see you out there rocking out as you pelt us with frozen vegetables out of disgust over what you're hearing, haha! Just kidding. Figured this would be a better way to holler at our friends than posting obnoxious oversize flyers or Youtube videos to their page, never even addressing them by name, making this highly impersonal means of talking . . . well, even more impersonal and becoming one of those dreaded, "myspace bands!" Hope all is well on your end of cyberspace! Peace.
