A 18-year-old girl having a funky time on her guitar. Raw, amateur but endearingly inept.
Well i'm a college student and over the past year i've been learning to play the guitar, like my old man. I've always been an avid singer, but without the backup of an instrument i was a bit stuck and couldn't progress. At first it was hard and annoying and down right frustrating, but now i love my guitar so much i can hardly spend a night without picking it up and giving it a strum.
I've recently begun writing my own material, which is something i thought would never happen because i've never been too fantastic when it comes to lyrics. I'm a story teller, i write what matters to me. Right now what matters to me is being a teenager growing into an adult, so that's really what my music is all about. It's probably very simple to everyone who hears it, because let's face it i'm no Jimi Hendrix, but it matters to me because it's something i've created and want to share.
Some of this stuff is pretty damn random, and anyone who knows me will probably have full-well expected it because i am quite the random girl. I hope you get a sense of me in what you hear, if you would be so sweet as to listen :)
And i wanna give a special hug and a kiss to my best friend Liz who was so amazing helping me get this profile set up, and for inspiring me in my music and to all and all be a better peep! And of course, a nudge and a wink to Jen who is my personal roadie/groupie/super lyric listener.

i still have a week too, until i go back to university - but i want to go back now! it's been nice having a holiday and not having any homework but i'm looking forward to my new classes and getting back into that routine i guess... :)
