Hi its Rosie here. So I felt like I had to give everyone an update on The Goldbug World. We had to cancel some gigs and promo stuff etc. I want to explain.....its all cool and groovy.
Basically everything is going to be Gold and Rosie. We have had some very exciting events happen recently. Soon to be shown from behind the magical curtain. In the meantime please keep enjoying the music, pictures, diaries and blogs we have on our myspace. As you know we always love hearing from you and we do what we do for you to hear, see and enjoy.
We have a few local gigs in corhole coming up.... do come because we might not do any more until the New Year. Maybe.... who knows.... we love playing live so very much.
Right now We are in between NYC, LA, Sweden, Nashville, Toronto and of course Cornwall. Its for our next set of songs. We are writing in a combination of ways... 1; by myself, 2; with Pixie and Plums and 3; a combination of shit hot other band members and writers from all over the world. I am flying around like a bird on heat (so I am going to have to plant a forest to make up for the carbon footprint..... I mean it and I'm sorry). I am a vegetarian.
To date...Badish poo news first previous to now this wonderful dawn....It has not all been all glam and fun, there has been a lot of traveling, sleeping in cars and, changing in toilets, urinating in random bushes, surviving on Digestive biscuits and Diet Coke, getting bed bug bites, having asthma attacks, being left at airports, eating each others sick .... yes... amongst other hideous things too dark to mention. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS it makes us what we are, a rock n roll band and we have also had some amazing experiences and stuff since we released our first set of songs in September last year, some of our highlights were Touring with Cyndi Lauper around Europe, Playing my fave song live 'Strange Little Girl' with Hue Cornwell from The Stranglers, Featuring in NME, Getting the cover of ArtRocker, Receiving many great reviews from many hip hot magazines and papers, getting a number 1 with Heartbreak in the UK Club Charts, being played on Radio 1 and having the wonderful Hue Stevens supporting us. We also played some fabulous festivals and gigs and we met many of our fellow inspiring comrades and met the beautiful people who liked our music.. We have also made some very close friends such as Rob Simpson and Mullet Man and L.E.D. Love you guys.
There has not been much time for anything other than writing music, hence why we are not on the festival circuit this year. But in our free time I have been hanging out with my cat Sausage and the new addition kitten Chips (they are both dwarfs) and riding my sister's mad horse called Meg. Pixie has been surfing and writing songs and poetry. Plums has been walking the cliffs of St Ives and playing her Tyco drums and guitar. We also like being very silly, and discussing the world while we are a little merry. We are a family so we are always together. We also get super model names wrong - Pixie "Hey Angus Dung how are you?" - Plums shouting "I'm a lesbian" to Kurstin Dunst. Then Plums ran away saying nothing else. I thought that Lou Reed was the door man at The Cooper Square Hotel and asked him where the party was. My excuse is
We are from Cornwall and I went to school with 3 people. Pixie and Plums are just Pixie and Plums. These things happen.
The Myspace page is where we focus everything news wise, info blah blah blah.... so come here for updates and keep keeping in touch.
With much Love and Goldenbuggerness
