Hello there Rosie,

Have enjoyed having a read of a few of your blog bits, especially your findings about the origin of the word cymbal - where did you come across that??!!

Truth be told, we have a mutual friend (Mr Pete Flood), and there I was minding my own business posting something on his facebook wall (as much as that can be described as minding one's own business!) when I saw that you'd written some form of percussive gossip just below where I was writing. Or something like that, I can't remember now. Anyhow, curiosity got the better of me and I thought I'd look you up on myspace...

So here we are, it's always good to meet another percussionist - my profile photo might be a little misleading, but a percussionist is in fact what I am in my primary existance...

Nice to meet you, perhaps bump into you in the flesh some day...
All the best
Sarah

Glad you like the new drum kit: it was a privilege to make it for you! And the heads do sound great (and very old-school too) BUT it's the way the drums are made that really makes the BIG difference! Can't wait to see the pics! David xXxXx.

How’s it going?

This bank holiday Sunday we’re playing the Carnival aftershow party at Ginglik, Shepherd’s Bush Green. It’s gonna be great! Come along and say hello.

Or, on Friday 4th September we’re playing at the very cool Born Bad night which is normally in Brighton but has made the trip up to London for a change. It’s at Barden’s Boudoir.

Yes, Blackpool is our lovely place in the sun. It's actually sunny right now, in fact. Which is a blessing I'm taking advantage of by spending time on my pc with the curtains closed. I do have the window slightly ajar though so it's not like I'm completely hermitised!
How well can one know Blackpool though? Your music doesn't seem to have the 'taint' that I would normally expect from someone who does know the place well.

Loving your bodhran work! I was given one for a recent birthday and I have no clue where to start with it. I'll prob just end up blutack-ing it to a cymbal stand on my kit and hit it with sticks and maybe knives until it gives me a good sound. I know what you're thinking - I'll need to find some pretty strong blutack. And you'd be right. But I will probably use extra tape n'all.
Sound.

Hi Rosie, I'm always shakey and slappy. I'm trying to pay more attention to myspace now as I'd almost forgotten I was on it. Your new band sounds great and nice picture!
