As the only girl in cult surf band The Val Dusty Experiment, Rosie Sutherland provided a sweetness to their raw folk-rock sound. Now that she's gone solo, her own edges are starting to show. Rosie crafts her songs around simple riffs and melodies, letting the words hold their own.
