Rosie Jones grew up in a field in Devon where there wasn't really anything to do except sit around in her room and dream of being a rock star. Listing some of her influences as “good music, kittens, mittens, cows, tea, wellies and anything with banjo", Rosie and her band - The Mystery Machine - create an eclectic mix of delightful, acoustic post-folk that just begs to be listened to on a sunny day, with a mug of cinnamon tea.
"This girl has a truly infectious stage presence and is a credit to North Devon" A lovely lady who reviewed a gig I did
"Absolutely enchanting" His name was Big George and he talks on BBC radio, which must be nice for him
"Rosie Jones' angst-ridden set had tonnes of knock-out energy and attitude" This was in the North Devon Journal
"Fantastic stuff, excellent."What James Watts said to me when I played on BBC Radio Devon
"The 11-track debut takes listeners on a musical tour which encompasses passion, humour and raw emotion" A nice album review from a local paper
"A stunning debut. A CD that grabs your attention from the start and doesn't let your mind wonder" Solo music are a great indie record store and you should all shop there and also because they gave me a nice review
"Definitely one to keep an eye on. Sheer poetry." FATEA records said this, they review albums, which is a fun thing to do for a living
