Even though Roslyn's singing started from humble beginnings at the age of four in the local church choir, she has quite a history and a story to tell. She's not ashamed to tell about her past with drug addiction and how God delivered her on the spot after many years! She has sang jazz and R&B with with the old and the new, and now it's her turn. She's traveled the entire United States as well as abroad to Europe, Spain, Switzerland and Canada. She's opened several shows for international motivational speaker Les Brown and was once a background singer for Dennis Edwards. She's sang throughout the world, warming hearts and destroying yokes of bondage. She's opened shows for Rance Allen, Yolonda Adams, The Williams Brothers, and has appeared on Bobby Jones. She's and accomplished studio singer that has the ability to change the tone of her voice from the deep, natural, contralto tone she's been given. Roslyn jokes that her voice is sometimes "mistaken for a male tenor voice."
She's been compared to no other singer, yet her deep contralto voice has been referred to as a "force of nature."
ROSLYN'S MOST HUMBLE MOMENT WAS WHEN SHE WAS RECENTLY SUMMONED TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM FOR BARACK OBAMA'S OHIO RALLY eight days before his election.
Roslyn the actress, received rave reviews for her starring role as the legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson in the biographical stage musical, "Mahalia," and the audiences loved her as the cowardly lion in "THE WIZ." Roslyn was currently starring in the stage production of Award Winners' Otis Sallid's GOSPEL! GOSPEL! She also convincingly portrayed blues singer Bessie Smith in the musical "Songs Sung Blues."
Roslyn has twice been as featured vocalist with the symphony Orchestra under the direction of Chip Johnson which was (in her words) "new, exhilerating and quite fulfilling."
If that's not enough, Roslyn is also an English Major and possesses a BA in English Education. She's a lover of troubled teens and has won the hearts of many by using her raw, candid, style to motivate them.
