I love music. R&B, Blues, Soul, Britpop, Lo-Fi, the works. But if you have to make me choose....
give me Georgie Fame for a Summer's evening, Boards of Canada before bedtime and something loud from Blur or Oasis to get me out of bed.
And if I need to chill, Mozart is always on hand....
Movies
Maybe doesn't count, but the Bill Bailey collection is tickling me at the moment. Also enjoying some 1950s Sci-Fi (Klatu rocks!)
Television
TV bores me at the moment. God-knows-how-many-channels to watch on Freeview and nothing on. That's why I won't buy Sky!
Books
I love sci-fi, but haven't read as much as I'd like of late. Neal Stephenson, William Gibson and Philip K. Dick are at the top for me.
Terry Pratchet gets me going. Yes, the Discworld novels are brilliant!
Can I add Terry Pratchett, whose wierd take on the English Language and the fantasy genre must be some of the most original work I've read?
Heroes
Steve Jobs, who invented and turned around my favourite technology company.
Tom Peters - who just inspires me.
Trevor Bayliss, inventor of - amongst other things - the wind up radio.
Kylie Minogue. OK, so what has the diminutive Australian Pop Princess done? How about raised awareness that breast cancer isn't just for women over "a certain age?"
Eric Clapton. What that man does with a guitar is breath taking (and add to that Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler, George Harrison and anyone else who can get a decent tune out of it!)
