the lighter side of things. May change the the moderately rocking side of things. I'll let you know when my music gains weight. It's got that fast metabolism thing.
At age 9 Ross started taking guitar lessons. At age 11, singing was the next focus. By the time Ross entered high school he had played in a few rock bands and school jazz bands, picked up drums, bass and keyboards and upon graduating high school, attended and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Ross performed as an acoustic solo artist while attending Berklee College of Music. Many short-lived rock bands had been toyed with, but nothing solid until he joined the Epic Records band Automatic Loveletter on guitar and keys in August of 2007. Realizing the band wasn't something he could see himself being a part of for the long haul, Ross left Automatic Loveletter and moved back to Boston with intentions of continuing a performance career.
Ross joined the Boston rock band Shanghai Thrills in February of 2008, only a few days after returning home for Automatic Loveletter's home state of Florida. After a few weeks of rehearsal, Shanghai Thrills departed on a national tour that included an in-store performance at the Virgin Megastore in Orlando and multiple shows at the South By South West Festival in Austin, TX.
In addition to playing guitar with Shanghai Thrills, Ross is always working on original material and encourages collaborations whenever possible. If you're interested in co-writing or need a musician for an interesting project, please leave a myspace message.
