make out music...sometimes light, sometimes heavy, but always sexy...
Ross Raiden & The R.C. is a Seattle rock band who fully formed in the summer of 2009. Collectively the
band has a broad range of musical influences creating music that is sometimes light, sometimes heavy, but
always sexy. "How would lust, love, or heartache sound if they were songs?", is the question for the life
force of the music where lyrically no subject is off limits and is always very personal.
It all started with a black acoustic guitar given to Ross by his older brother, which in turn was borrowed by the fleeting Simon B. Together Ross and Simon wrote a handful of songs which received praise by the few that heard.
Simon B. vanished and Ross began his daunting journey to find the world’s most elite musicians...The R.C.
Coffee houses, open mics, and after parties became Ross's venues as a soloist in search of the missing elites to no avail. Then like a gift from God, one of Ross's friends, Mark Z. aka Salty, moved back to Seattle. Although Salty strong armed his way and busted down doors wielding a four string Thunderbird into the band, he was always Ross’s first choice to take battle lord duties.
While the two used their synergy to win wars, there was still a missing piece, who will play the mean set, the boom, that knock, that kick...Ross searched far and wide enduring the flakiest of flakes, the wannabe'ist of gangstas, and even got attacked with a bottle to the dome by a drummer girl's infatuated bff. Finally on a drinking day Ross and his little sister were pounding pitchers of beer at a packed bar trying to get some head change when "The Kid" sat next to Ross’s little sister. Ross quickly got aggressively protective until his little sister said the magic words, "Ross he plays drums". Ludi Incipiant!
The band is currently seeking a producer to record a debut EP and will continue to play shows in the
Northwest...or anywhere!
