Sounds Like
We have been known to hop a genre or two, but these are the folks we have been compared to in the past: The Magnetic Fields, Softer New Order, Occerville River, Sebadoh, Puerto Muerto.
While not yet a household name, Rosyvelt has been quietly toiling away in the Northwest music scene for six years, steadily gaining notoriety amongst a growing base of fans in the area while shaping and reshaping what was to become Applied Science. After the breakup of their previous band in 1998, singer/guitarist Jeff Henry and drummer Sam Jansons began playing as a duo in Olympia, Washington. Two years later they moved to Seattle and, in 2003, songwriter and producer/engineer Louis O'Callaghan (The Graze, Utah Anvil) joined the band on bass. And Seth Howard joined Rosyvelt somewhere during the 2005 show cycle. It is a little blurry when exactly. Applied Science captures the chemistry and energy Rosyvelt brings to every show. Over the heady mix of country, rock, and pop, Jeff Henry's heart-wrenching vocals cover themes of love, loss, and the wonders of biology.

>>>>> This MYSPACE page is dedicated to various electronic Re-Mixes of the song "I've Got a Little Hillbilly in Me" by Brent Amaker and the Rodeo. If you would like to create your own re-mix of the song you can grab the individual Pro-Tools sessions by following these instructions:
There will be an MP-3 of the original song, plus individual .wav files for each track of Pro-tools. The .wav files are new recordings and will not match the Mp-3 exactly. We did this specifically for this project. The Mp-3 is just a reference.
CLICK ON the IDisk PUBLIC FOLDER on the homepage. DOWNLOAD the tracks and use anything you want for your mix. When your mix is finished, contact the Rodeo on this page to receive instructions for forwarding your final mix. We won't pay you any money for your mix, but we will put the GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY up on this page. Your work may also appear on a future release of the best mixes from this project.
