I believe in a life fully lived and work each day to be a better person, for myself, for my family, for my friends and even for strangers that may rely on me to do the best I can. Life is worth living and we should laugh often and love unconditionally. We should learn to love and respect people no matter who they are, what they look like, where they come from, who they love or how they pray...all people deserve respect and dignity. Most of what I have learned in life has come outside the classroom, but I sure enjoyed the lessons there too. I believe in community volunteerism and involvement in causes and purposes that help people. I also loves the outdoors, enjoy travel, boating, water skiing/wake boarding, and especially time spent with family, my two golden retrievers and many awesome friends.Music

About me:
I have had the honor of serving my fellow citizens. I recently served the State of Oklahoma as a Corporation Commissioner, responsible for regulating oil & gas, public utilities, telecommunications and transportation issues. Governor Brad Henry appointed me to this position effective June 1, 2007 and I am so thankful for the chance to serve. Previously, I was first elected an Oklahoma County Commissioner (District 1) in 2002 and was overwhelmingly re-elected with over 63% of the vote in 2006. Prior to those elections, I served eight years as an attorney at Oklahoma County. Very kind friends made those dreams possible. I am a member of the Oklahoma and Kansas Bar Associations and is a Past-President of the National Association of Civil County Attorneys. I am also a Certified Mediator; can't help it, just want people to get along. ..

i recently took a roadtrip to Kansas City and on the return leg of the trip, saw a "convoy" (4 semis) hauling HAWT blades on I-35 northbound.
