This old school review will be preceeded by a special event hosted by St. Louis musicologists and sometime scenesters Chris King (Three Fried Men, Enormous Richard, Eleanor Roosevelt and now the editor of the St. Louis American) and Thomas Crone (Webster prof, free-lance journalist, co-editor of 52nd City Magazine and KDHX host, programmer and producer) who will be "spinning" old local indie rock cassettes and CDs from their vast archives.
Local Indie Rock Swag Swap Meet, where all those bands with a sleeve of shrinkwrapped CDs of a dead band in their basement could get together and trade stuff. This includes bands with a box of dead rock band T-shirts or scenesters with a stack of 'zines he or she spent more time writing than promoting.
This will begin at 7 p.m. in the Eliot Room.
No cover charge, just come early to catch up with all you favorite aging rockers and rollers.
