August 2009 Mark Henning (Soma / Freude am Tanzen / Berlin) David Demain (Endstation / Stuttgart) Romy S., Stuttgart, Beginn: 23:00 Uhr Da Engländer und Deutsche längst wieder gemeinsame Sache machen, unter anderem Kinder, schlägt Mark Hennings Herz, gebürtiger Londoner, auch für Deutschland und dessen Techno-Kultur. Er lebt längst nicht nur in Berlin, sondern im beschaulichen Jena begann sein Karriere. Denn auf Freude am Tanzen, dem Label der Wighnomy Brothers aus Jena, erschien Hennings erste Scheibe, damals kurz nach dem Krieg, 2004 oder so. Seitdem, wer hätte es geahnt, ging es mit funktionalen Minimal-Tech-House steil bergauf. Platten hier und da auf Soma, Trapez oder Frankie, gings dort und da drüben in der Fabric, im Watergate, Bar 25, Privilege, Panoramabar, Harry Klein und Resident bei den Frankfurter Home Events, zeichnen seinen Weg. Letztes Jahr erschien sein Debütalbum auf Soma und seitdem ist Mark Henning noch gefragter, sei es als DJ oder mit seinem Live-Equipment. Damit tourte er quer über alle Kontinente und zeigte der Welt seinen Sound irgendwo zwischen House und Techno, gespickt mit massig Groove, Funk, Swing und Deepness. Alle wichtigen Ingredienzien für ein bissle „goes nuts“ auf der Tanzfläche. Mark Henning ist mit seinen Tracks regelmässig auf Compilations wie Fabric oder Bugged Out vertreten und werden von den großen der Marke Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Akufen, Steve Bug, Loco Dice and Richie Hawtin gerne mal gespielt. Goes nuts halt, gell Die Nüsse tun der Romy spätestens nach seinem Auftritt auch kräftig weh.
