Rowan is changing. Bored with measuring up to the countless other folkzines and fanzines and piles of dusty music literature, she decided to find a way to remain unique while at the same time giving a nod to the place she emerged from.
Did you ever think about what the word 'folk' really means? Without wishing to sound in the least way trite, this is something that Rowan has been thinking about a lot.
Folk: originating among the common people.
Folk: having unknown origins and reflecting the traditional forms of a society.
Folk: people as the carriers of culture; representing the composite of social mores, customs, forms of behaviour.
Rowan is dedicated to her love of the folk tradition. A collection of stories, tall-tales, rememberances and recollections; the culmination of many memories made tangible.... all bound in a hand-printed, numbered cover, ready to pass on and never to be forgotten. A cloud passes over the moon, a twig snaps underfoot, birds make their choir... Wait for Rowan and she will be there...
Issue One is now SOLD OUT.
