Influencesyou and i have an appointment at the END OF THE world!", nitzer ebb (one of the first electronic groups i got into... years later i saw a video of them and ouch the spandex!) ((still think they rawk though)) laibach, future sound of london, amon tobin, download, lone pigeon, frankie hill (skateboarding in the early nineties was a knee shattering good time no?), anyone who still listens to d+b especially if they listen for hours and hours, ram trilogy, decoder, shy fx, d. r. alex patterson, tim kennedy (and the happy family), farewell to treaties (R.I.P.), syd barrett, ronnie milsap (not kidding), crystal gayle (still not kidding), living in the spirit crushing yawning expanse of suburbia with no hope of a future for nineteen years, the nite sky and it's constellations, devo, thom york, kathleen hanna, underworld, autechre, patsy kline, milo aukermaN, ween, wolf eyes, lightening bolt, ghost recon (ok the village map... have you ever just hidden yourself in one of the small houses with the difficulty all the way up and waited? you can hear the ai programs coming for you... communicating with each other... creeping up the stairs... ugh...), castlevania (i often think of my tracks looking like that game. you know? like the different layers of the background being enough to flesh out a synthesized world... gothic atari looking computer game music? whatever...) bill calahan, gary numan, beta band, richard d. james, biggie smalls, machines that are designed for evil (like the german robot tank of wwII) (or the centrifuge) bloody evil... galaxy quest, THE NATURAL, darleen's depression on roseanne, anyone who has ever hurled a fireball at a starbucks (thank you), everglade city, emerald city, and phila "illa" delphia (new york's parking lot)
Sounds Likei dunno, this old grump got up and one of my shows and said "hmph! i thought they were gonna have MUSIC here tonight", and left... future sound of london, orb, anything off of renegade hardware circa the 2000 armageddon future science war drum and bass tip, (i wish!!) or maybe tech itch played real slow with distant factories in the back back background and some saddy soundin' synths in the front... pac man maybe? remember the chemical brothers? hmmmm.

PRESS: AD Amorosi gave us a shout in the icepack section of the city paper for our show at the ogl (turn on yer heart lite for rich). i've been compared to britneY spears... wait. what? let's see... we got kinda slammed by this dude for the live soundtracks show we did at the international house (even though it totally rawked). by the way, sound system at the ihouse is like whoa... sean adamZ got us some love for the declAssified show at silk citY a little whIle back. how could i forget my beloved greEnline cAfe? thanks for boostin' the new cd (and since i was so jazzed to play there again) here is a spot for the gAte to moonbAse alpha show...

i love how you were all, "yeah, i used to draw sometimes, and i recently picked it up again." ... you made it sound like you were going to show me cartoon bubbles of sheep flying over rainbows with elephants underneath.. when really, these drawings are so so amazing.

I still think we should do a one-off gig together ... how cool would it be to FINALLY have Robert Drake and RobotrAke on the same stage ;)

Doug Noe is a cyborg. He is my housemate and each morning I see a small metal robot puts on his Doug Noe skin suit. When he poops it clinks, and when he shaves there are tiny metal flakes on the sink.
