ROWLEY MUSIC helped place Japanese act Speed's latest single, had a track on the last W-inds outing in Japan as well cuts earlier this year on German act Queensberry's Top 10 debut. Other stuff as it comes to hand ROWLEY MUSIC has a pretty straightforward business concept. If you can wade through the impenetrable text block that is MySpace you can read about it below. 1. THERE'S A BUNCH OF INDEPENDENT MUSIC PUBLISHERS OUT THERE DISSATISFIED WITH EXPLOITATION VIA CONVENTIONAL SUB-PUBLISHING DEALS. THEY USE ROWLEY MUSIC TO PITCH THEIR SONGS. 2. There's a bunch of professional songwriters out there trying to place songs but who've "been through the mill" and are disenchanted with conventional publishing arrangements. They want someone to pitch their songs around and sort out administration. We represent some of these. 3. ROWLEY MUSIC CURRENTLY REPRESENTS OR HAS REPPED THE FOLLOWING PUBLISHERS ON AN INDEPENDENT PLUGGING BASIS; AIR CHRYSALIS SCANDINAVIA, CHRYSALIS MUSIC UK , CHRYSALIS MUSIC US, SHAPIRO BERNSTEIN, STAGE THREE MUSIC UK, STAGE THREE MUSIC US, ALBERTS MUSIC, MOS' AUSTRALIAN PUBLISHING ARM BODREN, DENISE RICH SONGS. We also do music synchronisation (a bit). Songplugging - it's starting to become a lost art for many publishers. It's unsexy, wrongly perceived as "old fashioned" and has a frustratingly low success to effort ratio - but it still can make a lot of money. Many publishers find it difficult to justify a full-time plugger but they know they owe it to their writers and themselves to have someone hitting all the projects that exist around the world (and there are many). ROWLEY MUSIC is the solution to that problem.
