With roots in rock, R&B, jazz, and country, Roxanne Beck is a genre-busting singer and songwriter. Originally from Arkansas, her career began in Nashville, where she found work as a demo and back-up singer. But an interest in other styles of music led her to New York City. There she began to develop her unique style, singing in Manhattan clubs and cabaret venues. A move to Los Angeles in 2003 led to the production of her first jazz CD, "Comes Love" (2008). Produced by Grammy nominee Bud Harner, arranged by Jon Cowherd (Lizz Wright, Carla Cook), John Pondel and Louis Durra, the album includes 11 eclectic covers of jazz and pop standards that the Arkansas Democrat Gazette called “lovely … heartfelt … striking.” Beck’s version of Billie Holliday's “Comes Love,” featuring chart-topping guitarist Paul Brown, received airplay on over 35 stations nationally in 2008. Special guest Jeff Golub lends his guitar chops to “Everlasting Blues,” “Dirty Work,” and “In the Garden.” The CD also features Pondel and Jay Gore on guitar, Durra and Rodney Lee on piano, Larry Antonino, Matt Bissonette, and Jeff Falkner on acoustic bass, Harner, Dave Karasony and Henry Newmark on drums, and Ron Pedley on Hammond B3 organ. "Comes Love" is available at roxannebeck.com, CDBaby.com, and on iTunes (more info at roxannebeck.com).

Discovered you through my "obsession" with everything Larry Antonino Bought "Comes Love" a few months ago and am listening to it right now. You've got kind of an "unusual" voice to sing the blues, definitively not a traditional one. It took me a little while to warm up to it but I now am really into it. What I saw as an "obstacle" to get into the music became the very reason why I now like your interpretations of the song so much. There is something that is really yours on this album. On the jazz songs, you shine and your voice is maybe more of a jazz voice than a blues's. But in both genres, you put your mark on the music. I will definitively follow your career and order the first album as well. All the best, Laurent

It is a great day to be alive! What Question can I ask to empower myself and others? What new thought can I notice now to add to my creativity? How can I improve the experience of those I encounter today? What can I do to facilitate your Gift?
Yesterday Is History Tomorrow is a Mystery Today is a Gift... That's why we call it the Present
Hey Roxanne, that Open Your Eyes, You Can Fly is fantastic!!! Great song, great sound, great voice, and the best snare drum I've ever heard!! Hope you're doing well and having a great week. Mike
Thank you Roxanne. I composed Footbridge and When You Look At Me That Way in '87, did a rough recording of them, then shelved them. I did these recordings last year although they're incomplete, but I wanted to get them on the player. Always great to hear from you, and your music is first class always. I can listen for hours. Take care and have a great rest of the week. Your friend behind the guitar, Mike
My dear Roxanne, I love that "Open Your Eyes You Can Fly!" Great performance by you and great instrument structure in the produce!!! I was hypnotized and soothed!!!! Starting to teach again and a couple of gigs lined up. Take care and have a great weekend. Mike
