I get alot of comments that I sound alot like Melissa Etheridge, a few Janis Joplin. I play in the style of most of the influences listed above. I think I just sound like ....me..most of all.
Hey Everyone!! Good to have you here! I am an artist looking to ....Open minds, Stir souls, and Move hearts in a positive way, for the Glory of God. I believe in trying to share the Love of God with all and to reach those who think that they have no place to turn or that they have somehow fell too far and that God is not there for them. That could never happen!! There is no place too far down that God cannot reach you and pull you back up and close to Him. I believe God is not out there looking to scold us for our wrongs but, instead looking to praise us, for what we do right. To welcome us home in His loving embrace. Not to say we are not accountable for our actions. We need to be mindful of what we put out in the world. I think there are plenty of people that need to be reminded of the unfailing Love of God that is available to each and every one of us.
The music I play is a mix of all styles...rock, pop, country, even a kids tune here and there. I believe God can be heard in many ways and every genre of music. If a song moves me. touches my heart, or makes me stop and take a look at myself, I will consider playing it regardless of style. So, there is always something for everyone to enjoy of all ages. I play an acoustic guitar and sing. Very simple...but I believe it is what has been asked of me. To use this awesome gift of music in a more intimate and raw way and not alot of flash with no substance. I am open to play anywhere for any groups interested. Got a need? I would love to share the Love of God through songs and lift our voices together to God.
