About me: Omigod! You can actually read what I've written because I didn't use some crappy, busy background that forces you to highlight my text in order to read it! WTF? ................I bought an 80 year old craftsman style home about a year ago and I spend most of my spare time scraping 7 layers of wallpaper off of the walls and sanding the floors and tearing up three layers of linoleum... well, you get the picture. That's consumed most of my time lately, though I still make time to get out and practice swing dancing. I'm still in the learning phase of that, but I haven't dropped anyone yet! I'm thinking maybe I should learn to salsa next? Update: I tried to go Salsa dancing this last Friday but my friend left a key part of the directions out: I was supposed to look for the doorway with a guy with a mustache sitting next to it that led to the stairs to where the dancing was. I think there was supposed to be a password as well.......................................................
I'm a part time illustrator and a fulltime desk jockey at Humana.....................................................
I have a passport and I'm ready to travel, but I haven't decided where yet. India would be my top choice, followed by Turkey, Egypt, and West Europe. I have a friend in New Zealand but it seems a waste to spend so much time and energy to get someplace where they all speak English. Speaking of which, I speak a little bit of French and even less Hindi. Just enough to figure out the title of Bollywood songs, really. I try to stay fit. i enjoy hiking. I have a brown belt in karate which means I can push a belligerent drunk over and then run........................
There is a legend in Burma stating that swarms of male dragonflies gather to join in choruses of high-pitched tones to court their mates. The ones that don't succeed in mating eventually sing so loud that their chests explode and they drop dead to the ground.
That's a typical Friday night for me.
Who I'd like to meet: I’m looking for a woman to read fairy tales to. To sprinkle glitter on and take dancing. To give backrubs and to write poems to. I’d like someone who doesn’t mind watching a movie with subtitles. Or a black and white movie. Or, heaven forbid, a black and white movie WITH subtitles!
