A true narrator of life experience, Roxie combines honesty, humor, vulnerability and experience to touch the hearts of all who hear her. Often referred to as a female Roger Miller, people walk away saying, "That woman just sang my life story. I feel like I've known her all my life." Discovered by country business legends Chips Moman and Harold Shedd, Roxie's promise as a country songwriter showed early as her first cut, "Lonely" by Tracy Lawrence topped the charts. She had continued success as a writer, but she could not deny her own artistic vision any longer. In 2001, Roxie signed a recording contract of her own with James Stroud of Dreamsworks/Nashville. Her first single "Everyday Girl" stayed on the Country Sales Charts top 50 for a full year and was highlighted by Lifetime Television for Women, taking Roxie's music nationwide. Although Dreamworks and Roxie parted ways in 2003 due an pending label merger, Roxie has not left the radio. In 2005 she signed with Valhalla Music Group and released "A Soldiers Wife," from her album "Ms. America." The song has had a positive impact on military families nationwide, as Roxie contributes a portion of all sales to the Armed Services Relief Fund.
Many of you have requested I post the video for "A Soldier's Wife," so here it is. Thanks, all!

Here's an unplugged version of "When I Think About Angels"
”The gift of listening: Try giving this to someone in need. And you must really listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your responses. Just listen.
The gift of signs of affection: Be generous with your hugs, kisses and gentle squeezes of the hand. Let these tiny actions demonstrate the love inside of you.
The gift of a note: It can be as simple as "I Love You" or as creative as a sonnet. Put your notes where they will surprise your loved one.
The gift of laughter: Just cut out a cartoon, save a clever article. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."
The gift of compliment: A simple "You look good in blue" or "Good supper" can be of greatest value to those who may feel they are being taken for granted.
The gift of a favor: Help with the dishes, run an errand, etc..... do it willingly.
The gift of leaving alone: There are times in our lives when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Become more sensitive to those times and give solitude.
The gift of a cheerful disposition: Try to be cheerful around those you love.
The gift of a game: Offer to play your loved one's favorite game. Even if you lose, you'll be a winner.
The gift of prayer: Pray for your loved ones and let them know you pray for them.
