Roxie Heart was started in Savannah Ga. in 2003 by Rev Hayes and Tony "the sheriff" Dann. after getting a few songs down and importing Johnny "knobs" Sterling on drums, we set out to do everything in every song we ever wanted to do in a band. pulling from inspirations such as fugazi, hot water music, alkaline trio, face to face, etc. etc. we pounded out the songs and ideas one after another. a lot of this was good, a lot was bad, but all in all a good time. later on we recruited Bob for second guitar/vocals in hopes of a thicker sound. some of the songs got faster, more melodies where introduced, and once again more ideas and a very different sound. then, just like that, shit happens and we stopped playing for whatever reasons. Rev and Tony went on to form KIOWA, a stripped down more up front version of the original R.H., Bob moved to louisianna and johnny went to work front of house for Darkest Hour. a good while later, Tony and Rev ended up in D.C. with a drive to keep pushing with KIOWA. eventually the idea of getting Roxie Heart back together for a second try came up. so Bob moves up, we find an awesome guy and awesome drummer who goes by the name of Rick Kiwolski(thats probably the wrong way to spell his name, thats why we call him "the chad of doom") and here we are again to step up a knotch and whip this bitch into submission!! thanks for listening and we'll see you on the road!
