    ROXY JULES is revolving around distorted guitars, pounding drums, an eerie theremin and Julie Runa's beautiful vocal. Behind the name ROXY JULES you find Danish songwriter and musician Julie Runa and her band guitarist Manoj Ramdas & drummer Sofie Kvist. ROXY JULES released the debut album simply called 'ROXY JULES' in September 2011, and since then ROXY JULES has been winning over crowds and critics as a serious contender on the Danish alternative scene. Now ROXY JULES has just finished recording the second album 'ROXY JULES II', which will be released the 6th of June 2013. 'ROXY JULES II' is balancing on a knife edge between something very fragile and porous and something very noisy and confronting. It is an outstanding mix of a gentle voice, rumbling drums, droning guitars and sometimes howling feedback. ROXY JULES is creating a universe where contrasts constantly bump into each other. The songs are not centered round choruses. Almost all of the songs have no choruses. Instead ROXY JULES challenges their listeners with musical complexity. .. .. ..
