What does a classically trained clarinetist do after symphony rehearsals? She beats the skins for her rock band.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, I grew up in a family of musicians. As the first chair clarinetist throughout high school and college I decided the conservatory was to conservative so I picked up my sticks and hit the road with MADAM X. We were a talented, nitty gritty, balls to the wall rock n roll band that played every club/theater from Maine to Cali building a massive following along the way. The band finally settled in Los Angeles and signed a recording contract with CBS records. Rock legend Rick Derringer produced our debut album 'We Reserve the Right' and we released two videos and toured constantly. What a wild experience!
Shortly thereafter I auditioned for David Lee Roth and was among the top 10 picks alongside drummer extraordinaire Gregg Bissonette who ultimately nailed the gig. I was thrilled at the opportunity to jam with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and the legendary Billy Sheehan…what a rush! I went on to join VIXEN selling over a million records worldwide and had the time of my life touring the globe in support of heavyweights the likes of Ozzy, Scorpions, Deep Purple and Kiss. I love playing live; the thunder of my kick drum and the crack from my snare resonating in a room full of head bangers is so indescribably satisfying, it's like an addiction. I’m always anxious to get back on stage and kick in some teeth! Check back for up to date news and give me some feedback, I love hearin from ya!
It’s all about slammin down some heavy grooves and I dig it so thanx for stickin with me!
