About me:
Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting one of the hottest newcomers to the South's Burlesque Scene hitting the stage as both a performer & a promoter Miss Roxy Twirls. A red headed young lady with hourglass curves & a sassy streak she started off pin up modeling as an Hourglass Girl in September 2008. Roxy became a top 5 finalist in the 21st Century Pin Up Magazine competition December 2008 for the beginners burlesque category.
Since Roxy hit the stage in November 2008 she has performed at a variety of burlesque shows, clubs & events all over the UK and recently winner of the Southampton Heat and finalist for of the Acey Slades BurlAce Beauties and Leg Show! Her classic acts & neo-burlesque comical routines have won her popularity & talk of the scene. Be ready for cheesecake vs sex appeal tease. Incorperating classic 40's and 50's striptease burlesque to the more modern slant of neo burlesque showcasing sultry songs & oozing sex appeal mixed together with humour and blended with comical props. Starting out as co-organiser and the promoter for The Heart Of Burlesque 08/09, she now organises & host's her own show, Roxy's Rendezvous, bringing the art of the tease to the South of England showcasing a variety of new & established talent and cabaret acts both local and out of town to The Soul Cellar, Southampton. With many shows under her suspender belt it has also given Roxy experience in both stage management and performance.
Roxy is focusing this next year on creating her acts, organising appearances, booking photoshoots and hopefully to become a full time burlesque sensation! If you would like Roxy to perform at your show, event or private party please contact her via email roxytwirls@yahoo.co.uk.
