Schooled in the agricultural, martial and military arts, these soldiers have the strength, skill, discipline, knowledge and spirit to battle the forces of evil and tyranny. They draw their inspiration from mighty warriors like H.I.M. Emperor Hail Selassie I, Kojo, Quaco, Quao, Nanny, Sam Sharpe, Paul Bogle, Tacky, Boukman, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Steve Biko, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Andrea Williams Green, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, 2-Pac and Mutabaruka.
Revolutionaries with potent political poetry, Neto, RasTakura and Ginsu are not afraid of speaking the truth and dying for it. They are leading a new generation of rebels.
They were once individuals, part of the system, slaves in the matrix then they went on a path for knowledge of self. Who were they? Where did they come from? Where are they going? Fate, destiny and purpose brought these 3 together in one space.
They soon after realized their oneness in thoughts and goals to be free and controllers of their destiny, fighters in the revolution against the beasts & dragons of oppression.
So they organized, planned, schemed and when the time was right, they busted out and became “RUNAWAY SLAVES” fleeing to the bushy mountains, there they farmed the land, researched, studied, practised, meditated and after having some good “JAMAICAN FOOD” they took their minds out of “HER MAJESTY’S PRISON” the “AMERICAN DREAM” came out of the “VALLEY OF DECISION” and with “THE PLAN” to resist the “NEW WORLD ORDER.” They then became known as the “ROYAL AFRICAN SOLDIERS”.
The Soldiers have produced two albums: Runaway Slaves and Dragon Slayers and a DVD in collaboration with C.P.T.C. They have performed both internationally and locally at events such as Reggae-Sum Fest 2003, Rebel Salute 2007, Smile Jamaica Bob Marley Concert ’07 as well as at numerous events at the University of the West Indies (UWI Mona Campus), Capleton & Friends "A St. Mary mi come from", Heineken Startime, Margeriterville Mo-Bay, Weekenz, South Africa, African Conference held at the Emancipation Park, Fiwi-Sinting and in Barbados, at the Barbados National Heroes Circle and they have been interviewed by all the major Radio and T.V stations on the island such Irie FM, T.V.J, R.J.R, C.V.M and the list continues.
“Change the world with words shaping the future with action”, is the motto by which the group is defined and the saga continues….................................

Ex-Black Panther Rejected by U.S. Supreme Court in Murder Case

April 6 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former radio reporter and Black Panther whose conviction for the 1981 killing of a Philadelphia police officer sparked international controversy. The justices, without comment, left intact a federal appeals court ruling that upheld Abu-Jamal’s conviction, turning away his contentions that prosecutors sought to exclude blacks from the jury. He was convicted in 1982 by a jury of 10 whites and two blacks.
The case is Abu-Jamal v. Beard, 08-8483.
