    Hi, Amber ~

    So sorry things didn't work out in France!  Going over there was definitely taking a risk, since you were so far away from anyone you knew, in a whole different culture, and could barely speak the language.  Anyway, you were very courageous, and I'm impressed by that.  Glad you made it back into the US! There are other options; you can go to Quebec (where one of my pro snowboarder crushes is from), or check out Rosetta Stone (which I'm curious about).

    Work has picked up, though they'll be cutting back on school days by the end of the month.  I've modified my plans, and have decided not to apply for a snowboard coaching job until summer of next year.  That will give me more time to work on my skills, and more opportunity to impress the snowboard camp.

    Are you in California or Nevada right now?

    Touring south of France - sounds romantic!  I remember liking Cote D'Azure a lot, and Monaco.  The beaches have big pebbles for sand, but the water is so warm and clear there!  You can walk in up to your chin, and look down and still see your feet!

    BTW, I can't hear the music on your site, nor anyone else's, though I can hear music when I play videos.  Is there some sort of upgrade I need to get?

    Have fun! (Yes, I'm still volunteering at the Mauna  Kea VIS.  We're having our annual banquet October 10th).

    Hi, Amber!

    By now, you're probably settled in France.  How are things going?

    I'm still plugging away here in Hawaii.  Work has picked up a little, though my laser spotting job ended due to budget cuts.  But I can still volunteer at Mauna Kea's Visitor Center.  I still plan to go to Windell's this winter, and it looks like I will be able to.
